Tattoo Aftercare

My number one choice for aftercare is Saniderm, simply because it is clean!

Keep the 1st application of Saniderm on for 24 hours, then remove it and wash your tattoo with anti-bacterial soap, let it completely dry, then apply the second application of Saniderm. This application can be left on for three to five days. After removing, wash your tattoo and being applying dry skin lotion.

If for some reason you can not use Saniderm or any other second skin like products, please follow the standard aftercare instructions.

-After an hour remove the bandage and do not re-bandage

-Wash with a mild anti-bacterial soap

-Lightly pat dry with a paper towel

-Apply a light layer of Aquaphor or A&D ointment

Repeat these steps two to three times a day for three days to a week until the tattoo starts to peal.

At this point apply a dye and perfume free dry skin lotion such as

Lubriderm two to three times a day.

In the initial two week after getting your tattoo do not submerge your tattoo, under water.

-NO SWIMMING -NO HOT TUBS -NO BATHS

When showering, let the water run over your tattoo, keep it out of the direct spray of the shower.

After the tattoo is healed, make sure to apply sunblock when spending time outside.
